She Built This: Game Jam

Event Visual Identity

Designed the key visual campaign for a women-focused game jam hosted by GLITCHED - Women in Game Dev, GGWP (GG Women Professionals), and Women In Games NYC. Inspired by Y2K aesthetics, Jet Set Radio, and Shibuya Punk culture, the project included event branding, social media assets, and promotional materials across multiple event touchpoints.

Player Setting

GLITCHED - Women in Game Dev approached me to create the visual identity for their game jam and showcase events. The goal was to capture the energy of indie game development communities through a playful blend of Y2K aesthetics, glitch culture, Jet Set Radio influences, and Shibuya street fashion, while avoiding a traditional cyberpunk look. The final campaign included the main game jam promotional artwork, logotype, and a follow-up showcase poster celebrating games created during the jam.

Color Theme & Typography

Instead of relying on dark cyberpunk motifs, I focused on creating a brighter and more welcoming visual identity centered around a skater character exploring a stylized urban game culture environment. The composition combines energetic typography, layered city signage, playful gaming references, and vibrant color accents to communicate creativity, experimentation, and community. The visual system was designed to scale across multiple formats, including social media posts, event pages, promotional banners, and future community events.
