How can a museum preserve not only artworks, but also the stories visitors carry with them?
Travel Tales was a participatory experience designed for a gallery space featuring artworks centered around travel, movement, and exploration. Rather than creating another informational exhibit, our team focused on extending the exhibition's themes beyond the artworks themselves and into the lived experiences of visitors.
We designed a postcard exchange system that invited participants to share a personal travel memory, anonymously contribute it to the installation, and take home a story left behind by another visitor. Through this simple act of giving and receiving, the experience transformed individual memories into a collective archive of journeys.
